I liked Mitchell. Redding always seemed sour and almost disparaging about Hendrix, but Mitchell was the complete opposite. Every doco I ever saw he was always the same: 'Jimi Hendrix, man. I played with Jimi Hendrix', like he couldn't believe he could be that lucky.
