Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Damn shame to see how much fun GT racing was back then. Trans Am was on to a good thing until they decided to kick out any car that was remotely interesting. "Hey, I know - let's ban turbos. Porsche? Nissan? Paul Newman? Screw 'em.":shakehead
Yep. I've never driven an AWD car at speed but I was able to experience that description given early in the piece. At the Porsche Sport School down at Barber, with 4 riding in a Cayenne and Andrew Davis at the wheel, I got one of the rides of my life. Gave whole new meaning to "digging out of the corner" as we reeled in Carreras. VERY eye-opening and entertaining. That kid can DRIVE!
