Bettie Page, the pin-up icon who made it ok for for the girl next door to be naughty, has died at 85. Page dropped out of sight in 1957, found religion, and later battled schizophrenia before seeming to find peace with herself and her cult status in the 1990s.

It's pretty amazing that she managed to keep current photos from being taken. I saw one of her at age 80, and the sparkle in her eyes and the smile were the same. She was a real beauty... real... how rare that is.
