I switched to Firefox. How do I get rid of the bookmarks in the location bar?
I highlight them and press the delete key, they return. I've try the clear private data command, they return.

My computer/control panel/add or remove programs/uninstall :gomer:
I have wondered this myself.
It remembers BOOKMARKS visited, thinking is, I assume, if you are bookmarking your pr0n, then you aren't hiding it, so let's show the world!
Try here.
is it just ME that bookmarks the pr0n?? :D (http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=226391&forumId=1)

Do you mean the history (like when you type there are auto-complete options)?

I'm cool with History being shown in the drop down bar, I don't want my bookmarks shown in the drop down bar. porn or others. :)
edit - installed the add on "hide unvisited."

Careful G., could be embarrassing if pr0n comes up on your most visited list.
I can't figger out why OC comes up three times and Gmail twice...
Thanks for the linky, I did not know that the URL bar in F3 is referred to as the Awesome Bar.. :gomer: Awesome.

Drop the location bar down. Move the cursor over entry you want to delete. Hit the Delete key. :gomer:

D'OH! Looks like it keeps bring back your history like a groundhog day movie.

It brings back your bookmarked places that you've visited. The add-on works. If you clear your pvt data, the bookmark-history is gone.

It always searches your bookmarks for matches. Only way to delete them is to delete the bookmark itself or use an extension that stops the searching of bookmarks.
Missy didn't like the "Awesome bar" so I dug up an "old bar" addon that makes it act like the Location bar from FF2. Here's a blurb that talks about another way to turn off some of the functionality.

Speaking of FF, it looks like the latest update (3.0.6) is a resource hog. I've had to crash it twice for using too much memory and CPU. :irked: :saywhat:

Do on my work comp. Have not noticed anything odd there either. Mind you being winders it either reboots on its own or forces me to every few days. There is no fargin way way I could get an uptime on a browser like that on it. ;)

I haven't noticed any change in memory usage. It still sucks down plenty. It's a little more stable, but not as stable as the earlier 3.0.x ones.
