Not in this case. ;)

I took this photo late last week. Gentleman decided to drive around the stopped traffic. I know the safety manager for the contractor who said this is an all too common occurrence. :gomer:

Can they bill a driver to repair the damage in a case like this?

(I know you have more important things to do, but...)

The car needs extraction, STAT! Anything touching the concrete needs to be separated from everything not touching the concrete.

That is my understanding - Yes, they can bill the auto insurance.

What the picture missed was Mr. Magoo there stomping on the gas trying to rock the car out of the cement.

So how much of a mess does the cement make by the time they tow the car out and get a chance to hose out the under carriage?

Not too web savy, so I always upload to OC and hot link from there.

What the picture missed...

The beauty of a single still photograph is that we get to imagine for ourselves every detail of the aftermath....:D The initial realization of what happened, the rocking of the car, the dawning awareness of the magnitude of the problem, figuring out how to get out of the car and onto solid ground, interaction with the crew, the call to the insurance company, getting the concrete off the car, jack hammering out the ruined slab, pouring a replacement slab, explaining to family and friends, notification of insurance increase, replacing that favorite pair of shoes.... :gomer:

Strange - I tried it from another computer with IE and didn't see the photo either. :saywhat:

I did see it when I checked with my Blackberry.

Here is the direct link to see if that works:

Rts 413 and 202. I know right were that is. Seems like there is perpetual road repair down that way.

No problems here with the link, either today or yesterday. The direct link works as well. I'm using Google Chrome, but I think it displayed OK in IE7.

They are repairing the concrete to prep for new blacktop. Cars will be tearing down York Road when that is complete. :saywhat:

It's not a display issue, the server is selectively replacing it with a 1x1 white .gif
