VP business operations for ISC -- the France family track company. I'm surprised they'd hire any of the mopes involved in the Tony George disaster.

Rats from a sinking ship? More like the vultures are circling.

I read that wrong. I thought he was moved within the Hulman organization.

On another point, how does a screw up like Chitwood wrangle essentially a promotion moving to an organization that actually makes money?

Because the money-making organization in question is also run by an Idiot Grandson.

Well he wasn't doing much other than playing with his Hot Wheels and waiting for the axe stroke.

Either ISC figures a familiar face is a plus for negotiations or there is already an understanding and the pieces are being put into place before an official announcement.

Agreed, a very strong possibility. Should be interesting to see how the TG apologists try to fit that into their fairy tale.

His mom and sisters are now the scapegoat of choice.

Sort of fits into the theory of many here who identified the REAL enemy long ago, and it sure wasn't CART/ChampCar.:shakehead

Yup. They are tearing down what Saint Tony sweated and struggled to build.

TG hitting the wall hard has been a "wait for it" moment for the Frances. All but the delusional have known it was always just a matter of time. Now that they've heard the splat the Frances are fully awake and they will move in like a big spider ready to feed. Guys like Ganassi and Penske have been doing bizness with the Frances for years and they will welcome the stability and smile broadly.

For the rest of us it will be game over on ever returning to racing as we knew it.

Could be but the faithful (and Tony himself) will spin it that to mean Tony was the last savior of Indy.
