CVC Capital Partners, which owns 70% of Formula One Group, the collection of companies through which Bernie Ecclestone “controls” F1 commercial rights, was said to have told the Supremo he would have to relinquish his management duties. A new concorde will be signed Wednesday next and made public the following week. The on-again, off-again departure of Max Mosley is “on.” Again.

Throw a handful of chicken entrails at the wall and read that...be about as accurate as a stuffed animal.

I have heard some outfit in Indy around 16th and Georgetown may be hiring. Maybe Bernie or Max should send in a resume...lol

If I remember correctly Bernie 'advised' Tony on a few occasions telling him to stay the course with his break away series.

Reads more like speculation of the 2+2=4 variety as opposed actual rumor. CVC is a private equity outfit that is heavily leveraged in a tough economy so it doesn't take much imagination to conclude they can't be amused by the Max and Bernie show threatening their rather substantial investment. When Luca di Montezemolo went directly to them last week and told them that unless Max and Bernie disappeared so would the teams, they were staring at an almost certain default on their heavily leveraged F1 investment. When push comes to shove loyalties and previous associations don't mean anything to private equity people.

So, what is it that's "on" again....I've lost track of which is which!:( departure "on" which means he's OFF. That's a good thing, right? I don't believe it.

And yet I read somewhere late last night that CVC were not going to shift Bernie out. They weren't happy about the Hitler comments and had told him so, but he was still in as far as they were concerned.

Best guess is they told him was that he can stay if he cleans up his mess by the end of the week.
