His official request of me:
The Foyt Futility Watch -- Edmonton Edition
Steve,
I won't be anywhere near a computer next week and so I am calling upon you to start the Futility Watch for Edmonton some time this coming Thursday. Not much to do actually, just create the thread and say something snarky about Princess Permapout or whatever.
Thanks,
Peter
You forgot to bold the foytility candidates. :D

Nice to see the Gold Dust Twins at AGR sucking up the back of the grid. Of course, its not as if Tony and Hideki are lighting it up in qualifying either. Special Ed is his usual inept self. If he was racing on four legs his hooves would be on the way to the glue factory and the rest of him consigned as dog meat. Finally , there is the sad case of RHR. Ol' Sammich must have stopped using his lead mallet for set ups and begun teaching driving with it up the side of poor Ryan's head.

Having fast forwarded through approximately 1 million IRL promos during the Tour coverage, I can tell you that they are flogging 7 more races.
Very crash heavy promos I might add.
Oh and I watched a little bit live and didn't have the remote handy. There is a Danica interview promo that is just vile when you compare her words to her performance:yuck:

I didn't see the race (currently am in Michigan) but what happened between Moraes and PT during the race? Moraes is twittering that if this is how teammates act, maybe it's better that he doesn't have one.

07-26-09, 09:28 PM
Tracy tried passing him on the inside, Moraes didn't see him/give him room, Tracy bumped him front wheel to rear. It (or more likely Moraes spinning off-track) was enough to break Moraes' suspension, but PT's car wasn't affected in the least. Far more of an ordinary racing incident than Tracy's last dustup with dancing boy...

The fast yellow car...the city skyline...the airport track reminded me of De Ferren in Cleveland back before I was transported to Bizarro World where Tony George killed CART and open wheel racing. Oh to be back in my own parallel universe. :(
Edmonton loves this thing, 3X the crowd as Toronto. Brings 80mil to the local economy. The airport is soon to be closed but maybe the race remains? Question: How do the Indy Lights lap times compare with Atlantics there?

God what a bore that race was. I hate those cars. I guess I should watch IRL, Nascar then F1. Because anything after the F1 race is slow, slow slow, except for the NHRA. The problem is I have to watch during the week, which would mean I don't get to F1 to Wed or Thursday.
