Green, Andretti part company

Michael Andretti is to take sole charge of the Andretti Green Racing IndyCar Series team at the end of this season.

The former Champ Car champion's current partners Kim Green and Kevin Savoree have agreed with Andretti that they will separate from the racing team - which also has Indy Lights and A1GP programmes - to focus on the Andretti Green Promotions arm that runs the St Petersburg and Toronto street races.

This story doesn't pass the giggle test particularly considering all the competent race promotion people that are out of work and that they could have hired.

Doesn't bode well does it? Wasn't FTG getting "reassigned" as CEO of only the IRL supposed to "maximiZe" the future of the family entity with the greatest potential for growth? How's that one working out?
