View Full Version : For those infintile Rockies fans out there...
:p :D
What a treat to catch the last 3 innings of the game on MLB with Vin Scully calling the game.
BTW, an average of ~30K/game for the series? :shakehead

Folks here in CO have jobs, and have little time for ballgames. Who is going to keep the economy going in this great country? Reds fans? Indians fans? Dodgers fans? Perish the thought. Plus, its not October yet. :D :p

Didn't the Colorado Rockies become the New Jersey Devils some 25 years ago?

Because you said that, watch the Pirates and the Nats put together some blowouts.
At least you guys have baseball teams to root for. We just have the Mets circus to watch, followed by the chaos of One Bills Drive. Someone make sure the mercy rule is in effect for Monday night, k?

When did it become cool to call the Rockies "Rox"? If the Rox ever play the Sox, we're just a Fox or a Pox short of a Dr. Seuss book. ;)
I kind of want to see if the Twinkies can pull it off this weekend.

Well they did play each other in the WS back in '07. :gomer: Rox is better than the previous nickname: Sux. :p
Here's hoping the Twinks and Tiggers end up tied...thus creating a dilemma for the MLB and NFL on how to play the play in game (it's supposed to be in Minnie on Mon, but the Pack and Favres play there on MNF).

Frankly, it's the curse of the Dodgers more than anything else. I've never seen a team/stadium that can make a .300 hitter into a .200 hitter than Real LA/Chavez Ravine. I haven't seen them play in several weeks, but the last few times I saw them, he was getting under the ball and turning HRs in fly outs. The Ks now are disturbing. Just shoot me now. :(
-Kevin
Ah, so I get to watch and listen to this embarrassment with Vin on MLB. :shakehead
Twinkies/Tiggers are now tied for 1st. Tiggers are screwed regardless since they are starting their ace Verlander tomorrow.

Ah well, so much for the choke. :gomer: Bring on the Cards and the subsequent sweep. :saywhat:

Wow, that was a fun game. Go Twinkies!
You kind of have to feel bad for Detroit: the Tiggers lose a seven game lead, the Red Wings lose in Game 7, the Lions go 0-16 and the auto industry crumbled...all in the past year.

That first base ump from the Red Sox v. Angels game should have his eyes pecked out by Buzzards.
The forecast for the nut jobs in Denver for game 3:
Saturday: A chance of snow and freezing drizzle, mainly before noon. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 32. East northeast wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night: A slight chance of snow and freezing drizzle. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Last night on NBC news they had some footage from the Denver area with the snow and the person they talked to had an Ohio State cap. Couldn't help but think of you stuck out there in the snow.
