View Full Version : Watching the race on-line is so much fun!
Next time there is one of these balls-out oval races, watch it on-line (www.indycar.com) from what ever in-car camera they let you. It's a lot of fun. I watched the whole race from Tony Kanaan's, Marco Andretti's or Ryan Briscoe's car. The fun part was watching anyone following Mario Moraes; he is super aggressive. I tried to choose my footage from whom ever was behind Moraes. I wish they had his in-car camera going. To be honest, he's worth watching IRL for. The kid is awesome on these ovals!
Tony Kanaan is very passive btw. I think he's getting old; he lifts off the gas all the time and never goes high. Marco Andretti doesn't have the killer instinct that Moraes or Briscoe has also. He tries to make a move, but is always at the wrong place or at the wrong time. It's funny, he really gets angry around Moraes and tries to make him make a mistake. But Moraes is cool about it. I guess the Indy 500 feud is still on his mind. Marco will never be a Briscoe or Dixon and win one of these titles.
Don't you have to pay for that?

After the year he's had and with the team he's in why should he give a crap? Any time he's on an oval he's probably just waiting for the car to suddenly pitch him into the wall at any moment just like at Indy...

I'd rather watch my cat pinch a loaf.
I'd rather watch the Shriners in their little go karts.
I would rather watch a Shriner pinch a loaf.

This is what we talk about now instead of the Labor Day weekend race in Vancouver, or Denver, or wherever.
Saw a Labor Day race at Meadowdale once. USAC Formula Libre. Roger Ward in a Little People's car, some guy in a F-1 Maserati 250F, Swear to God I think it was Zora Arkus-Duntov! Ricardo Rodriguez in a spanking new RSK Porsche, (or was that in the Memorial Day or July 4th race? I get my holidays mixed up) just in time for his 16th birthday. Ol' Jim Jeffords in the Nickey Nouse Scarab, Lloyd Ruby in the Texas Racing Team Micro Lube 4.5 Maser and little Augie Pabst with the Meister Brauser Scarab. (he won) Dr. Dick Thompson (the ORIGINAL "racing dentist!") in the ORIGINAL racing Stingray. Paul O'shea in a Sadler Spcl. Oh, my... Wish I had a camera in those days! Musta been '59.
