I agree, WB. But wasn't it Isaiah that didn't want him? That's just how I recall it. On the other hand, Detroit might have just hired him away at the time. Don't remember.

I too wanted the Pacers to hire Carlisle when Bird quit. I was afraid Thomas would bring the "bad boy" rep that Detroit had (Rodman, Lambier, et al) when he was playing there. Seems he has done it, considering Artest's antics.

Fire Thomas, hire Rick Carlisle, Donnie... please.
