Bob Griese suspended for on camera comment about Juan Pablo Montoya (http://www.examiner.com/x-22698-Celebrity-Politics-Examiner~y2009m10d27-ESPN-suspends-Bob-Griese-for-taco-joke-about-Juan-Pablo-Montoya-video)
Maybe it's all a mistake, and the quarterback meant to insult JPM's weight.
* I remember one race intro for Champ Car had Adrian Fernandez, Stoopid Mario Dominquez, and Luiz Diaz(?) walking toward the camera with the phrase 'BORDER PATROL' splashed across the screen. :gomer:

If I were ever famous they could say I was out eating corned beef and cabbage...but that's not as funny as tacos.

corned beef and cabbage is probably funnier than you think.

Maybe they could do what Taco Bell did at Cleveland Cavalier games last year where if the Cavs got 100 or more points at home they would hand out coupons for free chalupas. Maybe if JPM gets a top 5 everyone in the stands gets a chalupa.

.... Bob Pockrass from SPEED-TV, had a terrific suggestion this week on how to settle the matter of ESPN's Bob Griese's ethnic misstep during the broadcast of the Ohio State football game last week.
That would be where when he was told Montoya's name had disappeared from the top five in the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup championship, NFL hall of famer Griese said that the Spanish-speaking Montoya must have: "Gone out for a Taco." Pockrass said that rather than the one-day suspension imposed by ESPN, Griese should take his salary from the Ohio State telecast and donate it to Montoya's Formula Smiles charity. The Formula Smiles foundation aims to improve, through sports, the quality of life of Colombian children in vulnerable situations.
