Ford took the most honors in the 2010 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Picks report, with six vehicles from its various brands earning the highest ratings, while Subaru and Volkswagen each placed five cars on the list. Chrysler made a strong showing with four cars and SUVs earning top marks, while GM crashed the party with two. Industry giant Toyota was shut out from this year's rankings, as were BMW, Mazda and Mitsubishi.

Subaru only makes five cars. Although in the footnote it says that the WRX version of the Impreza doesn't make the list.

Motortrend just gave them SUV of the year too, saying that the Sub was head and shoulders above the field.
