Anybody catch that ILL -Clemson game last night? Illini down by 23 and roar back to win. At one point I think they had a 28-4 run. After 10 straight years of futility Big Ten>ACC in the annual tourney.

I walked into The Schott last night thinking the Big 10+1 was doomed. The Illini were getting hammered, UM was losing @ home to BC, Wisky has Duke @ home....no way we can win the challenge. Again. So I'm watching the scores from across the arena...it's like reading 10 pt. font from across the room mind you...and I keep seeing the Illinois score, and I'm like NFW. Not possible. 'zona/Illini ~2005 redux. Amazing. I gotta read the recap on that one.
Bucks look good, but they are front court challenged. Gonna be interesting to see how long the four guard lineup lasts (as long as their legs, IMO).
Surprise of the season so far are my adopted Zags. Young team doing well (lost to then #2 MSU @ MSU by 2 earlier this season).
-Kevin
The Duke/WI and the IL/Clemson games were both great. I love college basketball. And there's so much of it.
BigTen is solid this year. Can you imagine how strong Northwestern would be if two of their starters didn't go down for the season? IU loses a starter for the year and so does Purdue. Tough start to the season but they are doing fine, so far.

FYI, Fraschilla's summary thoughts on FSU-OSU last night, which echo my sentiments:
Final Thoughts on FSU-Ohio St: no margin for error for Bucks. Turner and at least one shooter must be on EVERY night. Need inside scoring.

Must assume very small fractures since the X-rays didn't find them, but the CT did. Nasty, nasty fall. You could have heard a pin drop in the arena after he went down. :(
This will seriously test the boys, as they have like 5 of 6 on the road to open the Big 10+1. Oy.

"F-bombs" were dropped on national TV by West Virginia University students during the WVU vs. Ohio State basketball game Saturday.
Broadcast on CBS, the WVU victory was tainted because of fans in the student section screaming vulgarities at the rival team, said Morgantown Mayor Bill Byrne.
"F--- the Buckeyes" and "F---eyes" were overheard by fans watching the game on TV.

either make it 128 or leave it as is, making it 96 means it's a bunch of play-in games, and no one's going to care about those since there is no serious upset potential in there. no one cares if a 2nd place mid major beats a 7th place big conf bubble team

Congrats to the Ohio University Bobcats for putting 97 on Georgetown last night!!! The 'Cats were not in the least bit scared of the mighty Hoyas, and I give lots of credit to the coach. Many teams will play not to lose when they get 10 points up on a higher ranked team, but OU played like they were trying to run up the score. Bravo!

They'll be in the top five, but they will be the second best team in the Big 10+1. Thad has the second Thad Five incoming...the only question is PG if ET leaves (99.9% likely). They have a PG coming in, but frosh PGs are like frosh QBs...very rare. The likes of Wall and Mike Conley are rare breeds.

Meh. The likes of Butler, George Mason, NC State, Villanova and perhaps the original Zags circa '98 are once or twice in a decade phenomenons. Just like so-called blue chips recruits in foosball, McDs All Stars don't guarantee success, but it usually doesn't hurt (until they leave after one season :saywhat:).
The keys for PU will be whether Johnson returns and if Hummel comes back 100%. Obviously losing ET is huge for OSU, but Sully should give them the inside game they lacked this past season. Plus, the fact that he can shoot from outside gives them an added dimension (pick and pop) they didn't have with Lauderdale this past season.
