So, who are they? Testing at Barber in Feb. Johnny Herbert and who!? (PS-that's two OF 10. How do you edit a title?)

I got distracted during the holidays - did I miss the part where their tub passed the crash test?

Did I miss the part where they actually have a tub?

It should have Falcon stamped on it somewhere.

Spring Training for earl is also at Barber in late Feb... prolly so they can get Danicles a shot behind the wheel as well as some of the earl "talent" at the same time.
Not Tag. He and Priestly ($$, not driving) are on the new FAZZT team. Conquest vintage equipment. Seriously, maybe they can run at RA as the opener for the Brian Redman old timey car event.:) I am THERE!!!

You gotta watch until the last frame but they do show a tub being laid up in a mould, cured in the autoclave and the mould being pulled to reveal a top and bottom piece. You have to sit through the Haas machining center advertisement to get there....
US F1 tub (http://www.usgpe.com/news/welcome-video.html)
No idea about any crash test. Bernie said he doesn't expect them to make the grid, so they may do it to spite him.
oc
But they ARE being granted extra test time.:)

With Jose Maria Lopez driving does it really matter how good the car might or might not be?
:shakehead
Expect our car to be inventive, not a clone

when you're doing it for the first time, you don't have an in-built knowledge of what's worked in the past
Right Bucky, that's why most new teams hire at least a couple people that have actually done this before. You can actually save time and money if you don't need to re-invent the wheel. It can also mean the difference in running 6 seconds off the pace all year rather than 12 seconds back.
A lot of things are theoretically possible, but having watched several decades of F1 there were not a lot of moments where a totally green team showed up and surprised everyone out of the box.

Not a lot of moments.... I believe that would be ZERO moments. But hey, there is a first for everything. And those experienced and successful F1 guys cost $$. But hey, maybe they can watch a few Matchet tech segments.
Maybe USF1 plans to follow Brawn's example and just cheat. :p
Brawn had a huge Honda bankroll and a clue to go with it.

No, it will be all JML`s fault that the sled is a POS. Of course.

Bernard Ferguson has been over to Charlotte and is acting as consultant to US F1. Cosworth says the operation has been kick started after not much activity. Sounds like somebody got a check...
