- They must not be the only supplier.
- Teams must pay for their tires ($4m - $5m per year)
- 18" rims, as used in sportscars, up from 13" today (assuming also the low profile tires used in sportscars)

Aren't indyCar rims 16" or 17"? F1 likes the high profile claiming they handle the punishments of the curbing better IRC.

Michelin doesn't want anymore sidewall flex or any of that nasty tread squirm like they had at Indy :D

Aren't indyCar rims 16" or 17"? F1 likes the high profile claiming they handle the punishments of the curbing better IRC.

I thought they kept it at 13'' to limit the the disc size and, more importantly, the braking performance of the car.

That makes more sense to me. indyCar rims are 15" btw.

When Firestone came back into Indy Car racing they wanted to produce a low aspect ratio tire to be mounted on a larger diameter wheel. CART & USAC wouldn't adjust the rules. (This was before the Crap Wagon League)
