View Full Version : Driver killed at Nurburgring-Nordschleife during 4-hour VLN Endurance Race
Sad day in motorsports. German driver, Leo Löwenstein, was killed today when his Aston Martin Vantage N24 GT4 was involved in a multi-car accident at the Berwerg section of the track. His car over turned and caught fire. They were unable to extract him. Leo Löwenstein was 43 years-old.
The 43-year-old had taken part under the pseudonym "Leo Lowenstein" in racing. His full name is Carl Friedrich Prinz zu Löwenstein. Carl Friedrich is the hereditary Prince of the Prince Lowenstein family, based in Kleinheubach. He is head of a forest company and a vineyard. Sadly he leaves a wife and four small children behind. :(
