If I had the cash, I'd buy it. You could probably boil the tires at 100 mph :D. An excellent ride for lapping days.
This RX-7 originally had a blown rotard motor
Damn. I've been looking for an RX-7 with the rare supercharged rotard engine... and this guy replaces it with that stupid turbo OHV V6 GM had the hots for in the mid 80s.

Ya know you might just be over thinking that one. I read it as a blown rotard engine as in dun blowed up sir not expensive supercharger but that's just me....

People are just jealous that a rotary is twice as efficient at using its own volume. ;)

If you have a bigger budget here's a real sleeper for those vintage races....
New production Holman Moody 1964 Fairlane w/ 427 side oiler (http://www.holmanmoody.com/autosales.html)
1964 Holman-Moody Ford Fairlane Stock Car Built for the Street (http://hotrod.automotive.com/22735/hdrp-0605-1964-holman-moody-ford-fairlane/index.html)
At 2,500 pounds, with 495 hp under the hood and sticky tires, the Fairlane is brutal on the road course. It was originally classed with Falcons, Mustangs, and '63 Galaxies, but it blew them away so the FIA stuck it with the small-block Cobras and '65 GT40 Mk IIs(289-powered)--and it runs right with 'em. In the U.S. the car could race at any vintage event and would probably be classed with the big-block cars. That's fast company, but this car is certainly up to it.
