October at Mid-Ohio - Highlights

Last weekend I went to Mid-Ohio to shoot a car club rally and the Mid-Ohio Driving school. Highlights included being able to shoot from all the pro shooting holes, and actually taking two laps over lunch in my own car. Lowlights included standing in the rain. Hope you enjoy.

Unfortunately not. Most of the 'esspensive cars didn't go out then.

There was almost an incident at lunch, when I took my own car out for a couple of "parade laps". There was a speed limit of 35. I was doing about 45 most of the way around :D. The Ferrari in the shots was doing about 55, and was right up my butt going into turn 4 (the beginning of the Esses). Knowing the approximate cost of a Ferrari 458 Italia (about $225,000) compared to the limits of my insurance policy, I let it by. Totally ruined my lap.
