Just shows how much we do not know about life on this planet. Put bacteria in an environment where the ability to tolerate then utilize arsenic would provide a clear competitive advantage and give them some time. They will get the job done.

Like the PhD who found these bugs said, the only reason why no one has known about these bacteria before now is that no one has bothered to look.
