Aaaaaaaaaaannnnd it's a neeeeeeeeeeew traaaaaaack recooooooooord! The excitement and anticipation, awaiting Tom Carnegie to utter those words, was all but indescribable. I feel so fortunate that I was able to have that experience many times at the speedway.
Oh, how this makes me want for all that has been lost.

Tom Carnegie calls Luyendyk's record...........
http://www.wishtv.com/dpp/sports/auto_racing/indycar/tom-carnegie-calls-luyendyks-recordBeautiful! Those cars sounded so sweet. Makes me very sad for what was and what could have been.
That makes me miss the good old days, even if it was an IRL clip. RIP.
