Just heard the report. Sounds like all production will stop. Toyota leading the way. Geez!
No word on Suzuka or Fuji circuits. Fuji is closer to Tokyo.

Toyota has two plants in the north, much closer to the quake. Last I read, they couldn't even get in touch with them. Same article said other plants were closed until Monday. Guess that means until they assess the situation.
Huh, my car was made in Hiroshima. Any irony there?:(

Toyota says prepare to shutdown, we are not shutting down, but be prepared to shutdown in case we do shutdown, but at this point in time, we are not shutting down. Be prepared in case we do shutdown in the future, not that we intend to.

...but says "don't order any" we're just trying to build up a supply? :confused:
where did they say that? the article says there should be future interruptions with their North American operations.
Honda's Indiana plant will be at least partially shutdown Monday due to parts shortages. Being Honda, they will not lay off their workers, but instead use the time for training, etc. (Thank you Dr. Deming).
