Looks like he's back in 12 with Williams. Source - facebook f1 page, or something like that. He can chase Xuey around for 7th place. :tony:

I think Schumacher has pretty thoroughly proven that you can't just take a break from F1 and come back and expect to be competitive. I have the same worries about Kubica.

Hmmm...
I look forward to his return, too bad it will be mid-pack at best.

Lauda quit in '79, came back in '82 (age 33), won WDC in '84 by beating Prost in the same team (no small achievement)
A hard-minded mofo is Niki.
That said, I don't Kimi will do anything but embarrass himself. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm not so good at the innerwebs these days. :gomer:
Yo mods, if you would merge I'd appreciate it.
Williams is the original Lotus in it's later days. I can't really see it getting back to the upper echelon. (sadly)
I wonder if benie'$ mark i$ on thi$, or did Kimi just spend all his money and now needs more ?
I know things racing are very different more recently, but my ol' Dad always said, "Make sure you WANT to do something, then go ahead!" Or was that Davy Crockett? Anyway, moving away from anything then trying to come back and repeat earlier success can be tough and in big time auto racing downright dangerous! The history of successful and retired favorites coming back for glory, money, relief of boredom, whatever, is NOT a happy one. Sounds like Kimi has "made sure" and is ready to go ahead. Good luck.

So Lotus Renault will have Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean driving for what has to be one of the most ****ed up F1 teams out there. Anything run by Dany Bahar is going to be a disaster.

I sort of missed Kimi's mumblings the past couple of years. Unfortunately since he'll be driving a Williams, we'll be lucky hear him get interviewed. Certainly not as a result of a podium finish.

This thread is a bit confused. Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean driving for Lotus F1, ex-Renault.
Williams has signed Maldonado and reserve driver Valtteri Bottas. The second driver, maybe Rubens, has not been signed.
