I can't figure out how to link them here, but Getty Images has some photos from today's race. Barilla still seems to be supporting his racing efforts.

I also always buy Barilla because of their sponsorship. I love Alex - he is a true racer.

I read a bit ago that he was interested in trying it since he'd never "had the chance" to run the fi hunnert. I hope he does. He's a Class A inspiration.

That picture made my heart stop. I was telling TravelMom about him today. Hard to put into words how much he stands for simply by being Alex.

Don't know who this is but this comment sums it up for me (although I did not see the F1 crash). If Alex is at the Fi hunnert, I'll swallow every ounce of hate for the b'tards that ruined our sport and show up to support Alex. That's a promise.

I am stunned. I watched Zanardi crash at Eau Rouge in F1 years ago and thought that was it for him. Then he came back and won 2 CART championships, then had "that" horrific accident and came back again. Incredible. But to switch disciplines and win again and keep winning. That's breathtaking. A true sporting great. I bow down.

In theory he rode in the mixed H 1-4 Team Relay today and Italy came in second. USA was first. I say in theory because the rather horrible paralympics web sit does not say who made up any of the teams, the competitor was "Italy":saywhat:

So two golds and a silver. Rather impressive as hell.

This guy is making me question it.

Alex tows a 17 y.o. quad across the finish line in marathon (http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/zanardi-pulls-tows-quadriplegic-end-hand-bike-marathon-162700890.html)
