Holy crap, that's hideous. I never imagined they would be able to make an uglier car than the last Dallara, silly me.

I was re reading Bill Simpsons book , which made me think, it's an absolute travesty and tragedy that Indy Cars he was racing in the early and mid 70s looked so damn good , and 40 years later they are ugly as sin

I have to admit it does look way less bad with black hiding all the badness
I'm trying really hard to like it...but it's visibly unbalanced and ugly.
Why can't the dumb MFer's put a sidepod on the stupid thing and lose that ghastly airbox? It's the old Dallara with a new skin. I HATE it, it's just stupid.

It is a lump of ****, no doubt about it. JC Whitney wing, nerf bar bulges at the rear, goddamn spatula undertray, same hideous lawn dart nose. :yuck:]
I wonder how many hours the colonic commitee spent on that?

massive identity crisis not being dealt with very well by the indycar top brass.
only hope is the car races well. Otherwise the awesome power of the Indy 500 is going to be outweighed by the awesome power of "limited" in Indycar LLC

No paint job is going to make it better
I can smell the excess Testors glue, it looks like something a ten year old put together with leftover parts from 3 or 4 model kits.

The nerf pods are hideous. The only reason they are there is so the ride-buying hacks won't have rubber to rubber contact when they bump and there will be less chance repeating the Vegas Brouhaha.
I can smell the excess Testors glue
I'm pretty sure that sniffing glue was a prerequisite to its design.

I've been watching racing for 4 decades now and that design is the worst of any series I have ever seen.
Anyone who accepts it or considers it good looking probably owns a Pontiac Aztec, considers Golden Corral fine dining, has a fat wife, and never made it past a GED in terms of education.
That about covers 80% of Indiana no?

I can't decide if they look bloated like a corpse or melting like some sort of Dali painting.
Epic fail.
Fail.
I can't really come to grips that it looks worse than the old Dallara darts.
And this is all that will be left of Indycar racing for the foreseeable future. It will really be unwatchable. I mean I don't think I can even sleep through it.
Not that I watched much of it anyway, but now I will avoid it like 9bra wonder infomercials

Wow! Our town needs new snowplows for cul-de-sacs. I was thinking...just MAYbe...? You know, just in case things don't work out in Indy.
Anybody find a shot of Keke in the pink Excita Atlantic car sideways on 3 wheels? Now THAT'S the kind of front end they need! Goin' to my archives!
Or Howdy Holmes in that Jiffy Mixer March 79B. Now THAT was a bumper cart! I don't recall too many of those vaulting one another.

You know, when you wrote this it really stuck with me. And this truly is the bottom line: What moron come up with this garbage, and what moron fanbase is going to "accept" it?:shakehead
I get this vision of some idiot reject designer from F1 came over on a slow boat and met with the gomerati in some basement somewhere and drew this thing out while on a meth buzz or something. Only in a vaccuum of stupidity could this ever have been hatched.
And the status response over on the IRL faboi's boards is to "accept it"???
Why? :yuck:
So, do we just tack on these 48 to 1,002 that got the red flag?:D We are SO bad! But, remember...one of these things is gonna win INDY!!

The teams don't want to buy aero kits, so the easiest way to bring innovation back to Mindy would be to allow the teams complete freedom to cut stuff off. :gomer:

If you cut off too much...it's back to the irl flyin' circus. It looks like that wing not only provides too-much-needed frontal down force but also the extra weight it must provide to the front end.
As usual...another IRL/Indycar SNAFU!
Now that the car is nailed to the track, do they have a lap time?
How does its speed compare to the older spec cars Lola, DP-01, Dallara?
Surely it's faster.

I doubt that thing has a sharp enough turning radius to work in cul-de-sacs.
