THe IRl always wanted one day events. Them three days are a waste of time.
Initially, Andretti wanted to hold practice, qualifying and the race all on June 16 but ABC needed an early afternoon time slot so practice and qualifying will be held on Friday, June 15th.
Nice photo. :shakehead

Why does Milwaukee need saving? I thought things were vibrant.
If Mikeys paying for this, for sure I will NOT be there!
Thank God! I wasn't going if YOU were there!:p I remember when they'd practice, qualify and race on the same day. When was the last time they did that, anyway? Early '70s?

I love this track as a about the last flat oval that requires actual driver input.
And I'm OK with WI in general :D:thumbup:
So what is the definition of epic fail here?

Same here. I definitely don't want to see the Mile bulldozed. I grew up going there.
If the date worked for me, I might think about going.
However, I'll be headed to the lake that day so won't need to struggle
with the decision.
Would be nice if the Mile had some sort of success soon.

"Andretti Sports Marketing is excited about promoting IndyFest at the Milwaukee Mile," said Andretti, who won at Milwaukee five times as a driver and three more times as a team owner. "It's a historic track in a great city, and it's a place that has always been a favorite for my family. But, more importantly, it's an ideal track for Indy cars and always produces exciting racing for the fans."

Yeah, "exciting":shakehead I've been excited about way better stuff than that up there over the years.

I think I need to start a website with an annual tally of dead Dallaras. We can use the slogan, "Death before Dallaras!" and sell t-shirts 'n s**t.

At least the speeds at the Mile are low enough that the cars can't reach the grater...
That may be what it looked like coming out of 2 but an AVERAGE lap is in the 170s (?)...they still have to avoid a Brack before shutdown into 3.
