Faced with the disappointing results of the latest Indycar test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and eager to show he is working to solve the problems of the current DW12 car, Randy Bernard has released photos of the new aerokits for 2013.
The new kits drastically improve the performance of the front and rear wings, do away with the air box over the turbo charged engine, and tone down the side pods while keeping the rear wheel behind a nerf bar. Perhaps the biggest change, however, is the addition of a canopy to enclose the driver's cockpit.
"Indycar will continue to evolve in order to survive," said Randy. "These kits won't be available until next year, but several teams have already expressed an interest in placing orders. We hope this news will reassure both the teams and the fans that Indycar is working to make things better."
