It isn't a complete surprise but it is still sad to hear.
The latest economic downturn and the decision of HMRC not to pay ongoing R&D tax credits has caused a serious cashflow problem for the businesses. It is with enormous regret that a decision has been taken to issue Notices of intention to appoint an Administrator to Lola Cars International Limited and Lola Composites Limited.
This step allows the board to continue its discussions with possible investors and prospective purchasers with a view to securing the best outcome for the staff, creditors and customers of both businesses.

Is this the kind of goin' out of business where they turn out the lights and lock the gates, or the kind where they keep making race cars?

But Dallara lives.
:yuck:
Autoweak article says "Administration" is the UK equivalent of Chapter 11.
Which could mean Lola is just down, not out.

MoCartt beat me to my 1st thought for a reply, the 2nd was to ask if Lola was looking to sell? Enough pissed off Ex-League owners wanting to pen a White Paper or something, run a Lola/Cosworth/FORD series?:) Panoz? Swift? Cooper? Gee, they could have P2P, standing starts, red stripe tires (and blacks) race Phoenix, Milwaukee, New Hampshire (or is that an all concrete hi-bank now or something? Poach Long Beach, return to Road America and Cleveland. Mt. Tremblant, of course, screw Mexico, two more in Canada, lobby Austin and 3 more in the US. What are we up to? 13. Do one more...steal St.Pete?:D Sure wish Mazda would do a "Victory Lane To Long Beach" support series (or two) and then run Speed3s there in the Mazda Celebrity race!

That bold part begs the $64 question: What current or ex leeg owners would you bother to follow if they did leave? I'm personally done putting a nickel in any of their pockets ever again. I think there are enough people who feel like me, that this bit*h is in the ditch forever.

I get that it's fantasy and all, but what cars would you use? And in seriousness, what would it be built around?

Whatever...it still sucks.
:irked:
And it cash flows how? That is why they don't do it. Too bad, but that is the reality.

I love the Mk1 Cortina tail lights.
Hell, the Ford GT-40 had CORVAIR taillights. Shel just said to go get the lightest ones you can find!:)
