I'm just starting to think about this summer's Olympics and realize that NBC and BBC have both announced live streaming of everything. I might actually get to see an entire event--of my choice, no less.
Here's my problem. When we switched from an ancient TV to a widescreen, we bought an LG. I loved it. It was everything I ever wanted. We hooked up the internet and the reception went straight down the dumper. Sound cut off and stations went blank at random *while we were using the cable box only.* Time Warner Digital Rebuild they call it. I've spoken to others in this area who had exactly the same experience. Of course TW never heard of such a thing and neither has LG.
There was no way to undo the downloads that had caused the problem so we returned the LG and got a Samsung, which is acceptable but not great. We didn't want to chance another issue so we never hooked it up to the net. Just the cable box.
So, the question is, have any of you had this problem or do you know of this problem? If so, how did you fix it? We're missing so much by keeping ourselves in the cave of cable but it seems to the only choice.
