View Full Version : What's The Point?...
Oooo, FIA World Touring Cars at Sonoma! When do we get to see that...FEBruary? Don't think I can see it on Eurosport, even down at Best Buy. :\ Like the fact that the FIA considers the US to be a part of the World, but...I see Cruz is crushing the opposition, why don't they race in Detroit next round...or in DC!:p

Friends & family: What kinda cars are racing? Is it like NASCAR?
Me: Yeah. But instead of V8's they run four cylinders. And instead of 'Muricans they got European drivers.
Them: What's a SEAT?
Me: I think it's "'say-ought". It's a small car. It's spanish.
Them: :saywhat: I don't know man, I think I'm busy that day. I have to go to church or something.
Me: Shut up and get in the car. :shakehead

Checked out a few of the videos on their site - I'd watch this.
Looks and sounds good - nice to see some different venues - old school circuits.

If you've never watched a WTCC race its pretty crazy. Many of the drivers are recognizable names from other forms of racing, and they seem to honestly not give a crap so much so its sorta like NASCAR in that they have no problem beating and banging on each other for position.

AutoGP is the original A1GP cars running in what used to be the European Formula 3000 Championship.
As for the WTCC, the biggest thing is their cornering speeds. Compare them to the big lumbering NASCAR or V8 Supercar and you'll be impressed by their handling.

I could never follow those races - the few that were broadcast here that is. Never got into the "Ireland takes the lead, Brazil passes Sweden under braking..." thing. :yuck:
OUTSTANDING! TVRacer.com let me down...nothing listed. Where is that thread on the AutoGPs testing at Monza last Spring? The SOUND! Sweet. Probably won't televise that? Thanx for the news.
