I liked the (American) Holden executive who, when asked about the V8SC race @ Austin next year, started talking about how Texas Motor Speedway was a big fast oval and would be great for the cars. :shakehead

Lux...have you seen Jenson Button's 2011 McLaren "Fastest Lap Ever At Mt. Panarama" on Youtube? 1.48:88. The sound alone is fabulous. About 50 other clips to choose from also. As I recall Craig Lowndes was only a shade off Buttons time. Bet he had fun THAT day!

Lux...have you seen Jenson Button's 2011 McLaren "Fastest Lap Ever At Mt. Panarama" on Youtube? 1.48:88. The sound alone is fabulous. About 50 other clips to choose from also. As I recall Craig Lowndes was only a shade off Buttons time. Bet he had fun THAT day!

A mate of mine set the Formula 3 (and outright) lap record at Easter. 2:04.6 with a tired engine and oldish tyres.

STILL replay Tom Walkinshaw's '85 record lap in that V-12 Jag. "Here comes The Boss!":D Even the announce team was calm, clear and entertaining. Maybe MY most watched race clip. What a sound! No chicane OR tree protection on the long straight!:eek:

It was awesome when they showed it on Speed last year (even with the American broadcast team), tried to watch the youtube feed but it kept jamming up for me so I gave up :(

Have to say the 2 best clips are the on-board cam and the Helicopter cam of that same lap. The driver interviews after the "event" also show two VERY happy drivers. Perks!:) (I did not know Lowndes raced in F-3000 with JPM.:cool:)
