BTW - That's Greg Moore getting flipped off by a crew member in Cleveland in 1996, his rookie year.

That's an index finger, no?

(not that I'd know... I only use my index finger for nasal exploration.)

The picture says it was copyrighted in 95?

It looks like it's Jaques in the 95 Reynard. I thought that CART dropped the double plane rear wing after 95, but the tires are Firestone so it would HAVE to be Moore, Jaques ran Goodyear's.

Anyway, I think what the man is trying to convey his dissatisfaction with one of the tire changers.

Here's a link to the full-sized picture. (http://www.champcar.com/Gallery/gallery96/best_of_1996/flipping_off_moore.jpg)

It's definitely Moore, not Villenueve. Look at the helmet. Also the sides of the cockpit are raised. The 1995 cars didn't have the raises cockpits. I didn't notice the 1995 copyright, but the picture was listed in the Best of 1996 gallery (http://www.champcar.com/Gallery/gallery96/best_of_1996/index.html) on www.champcar.com. The thumbnail is captioned "Flipping off the Rookie." Appearantly, Greg misunderstood the pit signals, much to the chagrin of the team.

Ok Greg, in a couple of years, if some young punk in a Target car cuts you off at 200 mph, here's what you want to do.

"You'll always be number 1 in my eyes, Greg."

This is the only caption that truly fits.
