Ex DNFisher R&S at Mid-Ohio for the Boss series race in the Vintage weekend.

"While he's the first[to run an IRL car in road races], Stiles doesn't expect to be the last to convert IRL cars for vintage road racing. It's a chance for racers to go fast on the cheap, relatively speaking.

For $80,000 he got three chassis, five engines and enough parts to fill a transporter."

I predicted that an early 2nd gen crapwagon would make a cheap entry into vintage formula car racing a couple of years ago. Looks like I was right.

The next thing will be this guy being a road racing 'hotshoe' stepping into wanker rides like Foyt's for select IRL races with intentional right turns.

He's not the first to do this. Its been done in the AIS series (or whatever the series that brought us stars like the Laziers is called these days) for a couple of years.

Those guys don't even count as club racers: I saw them ages ago in Missouri and they were pathetic.

At least this quy knows how to develop a car for road racing. The problem is the car. Here is a pic of it getting a tow start at Watkins Glen after doing the IRL spin thing.

What year IRL sled is that? It doesn't look nearly as bulbous and tank-like as recent generations.

I've known several women who would gladly send their husbands off vintage racing in a crapwagon.
