Like Keith Jackson in college football, he was the voice of the NFL for years.

In the 21 seasons Summerall worked alongside John Madden they grew into America’s most popular sports broadcast team.

RIP :(And Tom Berksbire before that. As it happened Pat usually did the Giants games almost my entire life until he retired. Not bad for a guy who had no plans for broadcasting until he substituted for another Giants player at a radio audition and got the job.
