My wife's Uncle Pat drove one of those back in The Big One...Burma. Took a Jap(anese) bayonet in the side, too. Seabee. After a LOT of sheet time at Hines he drove for over 30 years with the Minnesota Highway Dept. Sorry... he used to talk about "D4s" all the time. What a great guy he was! So MANY like him...thankfully, but not many left.:( (ALSO...GREAT pics! Andrew Davis! My old Porsche School driving instructor! Thanks for the Mazda shots, too...I'm partial! Looking forward to RA in Aug.)

RA would be sweet; the coming together of it. I'd love to be able to do it, especially with no ALMS at Mid-Ohio this year. We'll see, but I don't expect to swing it this go-round.

Mid-Ohio hopes to land a USCR race, but no contract yet.


While Daytona, Sebring, Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen are assured of spots on the 2014 schedule, several tracks — including Mid-Ohio — will be angling for one of maybe six to eight race weekends.

Hopefully they stick to proper racetracks. Lord knows you have a thousand damn good ones over there without resorting to street racing
