When asked if he could win one of the final four grands prix, he replied: "No. We have stopped developing the car and Red Bull are a long way ahead."
"That is not going to happen. But we can get some really solid points, and I reckon we can get back on the podium."
Vettel chalked up his eighth win of the season and his fifth in a row last time out in Japan, prompting Hamilton to see no reason why the German won't win the next remaining races.
"If he doesn't have any reliability issues, [which is] most likely, then why not? I am willing to put money on it. He's just walking it."
