I thought this would be an ad for an ex Milka Duno GT3...

Anyone care to speculate why PT would buy a 996 TT, do the full Techart treatment, but order it with a slush box? A Tiptronic on this car seems like blasphemy. The only possible advantage would be that the engine doesn't lose boost when it shifts and it would be easier to talk on the cell phone....

with the way she drove it, it would probably have almost as machined factory quality engine and tranny.

Like most race car drivers, they leave the shifting for the track.
There's nothing to really "prove" on the street.

I don't have anything to prove either, but I still wouldn't fook up a TT with an Tip. I've got one on my A6, and it's not all that great an automatic. Porsche really needs a sequential manual like the BMW SMG and Ferrari F1 IMO. It's probably why he's selling it...
My M3 cabrio is identical to PT's aside from color, and I've got the SMG on it, and like it a lot.
