Next weekend is the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca. 550 vintage race cars are invited to race around the track with other cars from their class or time period. They do it as part of the Concours events at Pebble Beach.
The weekend before the reunion is the pre-reunion. 300 of the cars and owners show up to practice and race before the big weekend.
Entrance to the track is free. Entrance to the pits is $20. Went for the first time last weekend. It was a lot of fun, way better than a Good Guys show. I was surprised how hard the drivers pushed the cars into the Andretti hairpin. There were a couple of spins, luckily without contact.
