I enjoy the bird cams posted that have been posted. The innerwebs is full of web cams, I thought this thread would be a great central repository for web cams of all types.

As I mentioned in another post, I'll be in Yellowstone NP in a couple of weeks. There is a live streaming web cam at Old Faithful that shows the predicted time for the next eruption. I check it from time to time. Looks like a beautiful day, I hope I experience the same. When I checked it over the weekend it was a rain/snow mix.

Indy Falcon cameras (high above Monument Circle). Unfortunately more of a still photo stream than a "webcam".

Huntington Beach, CA. (http://hbcams.com/live/beach-overview.html)

Fun stuff...we were at Disneyland June 2012. The girls and I rented a car (my daughters, not a car full of 'working' girls ;) ) Lovely Nissan Maxima. My first experience with a keyless car. Just a fob. I think I spent ~10 minutes trying to start it. Push the Start button. Nothing. Tried it several times (definition of insanity). Nothing. I finally looked at the dash. RTFM moment (in this case RTF dashboard). Display reads Press on the brake pedal whilst pushing the Start button to start the car. And then off we went into LA traffic to Huntington Beach. Now, that's a scary thought in itself based on the preceding. ;)

Ha ha, I got onto the BC Ferry going to Vancouver Island ok in a brand new Ford Edge in 2012 but when I tried to get off said ferry..... Luckily my lovely wife was there to read the dash for me. Bless those Canadians, not one tooted even though our line was long gone in front of me. Never did it again. :-)

Later on, after 9pm you can explain what a "working girl" is to this country boy. ;-)

Rusty, I thought you'd post an NZ Web Cam.

Not sure what was more scary...the fact that I couldn't start the car (in my defense, it was a TINY LED display), or that I was let loose in SoCal traffic. :) Next time you're in the states around SoCal, Huntington Beach is highly recommended. The 'scenery' is quite nice. :D

Some day, take Soph and Emmo down to the New River in WV. Class 4 white water rafting (bucket list worthy). But also a railroad track carved into the side of the Appalachians. Amazing site to see trains on the rails on the side of the mountains while rafting through all sorts of heck. :) Some day I'll need to tell you the story about Otter Rock.

I've put a few miles on BC and WS ferries. I used to head up to Vancouver Island on the run from Anacortes pretty much every September. No reservations for the ferries in those days, and only one ferry each morning, so we'd drive up from Oregon and spend the night queued up in the parking lot. I'd usually give up sleeping in the Mustang and stretch out on the blacktop, plenty of deer and bats wandering around. One year I pulled on the ferry between a brand new S-Class Merc and a lovely Porsche and had the Mustang's e-brake disintegrate in my hand when I tried to engage it. Stick shift, choppy water, and no staying on the car deck while in motion==panic. I managed to grab the cable with some channel locks in the trunk and get it engaged while a deck steward was physically pulling me away from the car.

In New South Wales it means pedestrian crossing ahead. I'm making an educated guess that it means a clearway on either side of the crossing.

Went over by coach/ferry (YVR-VIC return) last September so didn't have the same drama as 2010. :D

Just LOVE that neck of the woods and the coast road down through Oregon then California to San Francisco........STUNNING

Saw so many 5th wheelers out and about so said to her in doors, "We NEED one!" I think "ah_haa" means "maybe" :D

Every time I go to link a Tekapo web cam it's dark so you would be a bit miffed. :D

Will try tomorrow so you might be able to catch some sunshine (Live cam) before you go to bed.

Had a young English couple in the shop the other day looking for local Hobbit stuff so they could take some photos. "Sorry, there is nothing organised around here." "But the scenery looks familiar. Was it filmed locally?" "Oh yes, lots of shots of the Southern Alps." "Did any of the actors come in to your shop?" "Oh yes!" "Who?" "Um, I don't know, most of the stars came in for beers, wine and groceries when they were in town." "But you don't know who they were??" "No sorry, actually haven't even seen the movie."

Don't often see grown customers cry in the shop. :D I think they were a bit gobsmacked. Hmmm.

Will TELL the wife you recommend the beach, no point in me getting in trouble. :p

The movie? There were a couple. Haven't seen them? :saywhat: ;) 'rents just got back into the USA from a float around the world (nut jobs). They were in the NZ, as I mentioned previously. Had I known in advance I would have had them look you up. They apparently did all sorts of tours and stuff in NZ and Oz, including renting a car in Oz. If you like woods, come out here sometime and we can hit the Hocking Hills. :)

Not to get off track, but here are are webcams from the Columbus Zoo.

BTW, I'm a home for our Zoo. Jungle Jack Hanna is the bomb. Last appearance on Letterman (he's appeared on the show for over 30 years). Some highlights:

Two very large East Coast Lows in the last 10 days. I don't think I've seen so much rain fall in ages. The river at the bottom of the hill where I grew up burst its banks for the first time since 1988.
