I was going to add a comment that I'd like to see a pic of the traffic backup, but didn't think an attempt at humor was appropriate.

I dug up what I could get linkies to, but there are a bunch more on the Twitter feed for Emotive.com. Get on Twitter and search for #BadAssWilson. You won't be disappointed. They have an entire gallery dedicated to Justin.

I did this, thanks. Very touching and very sad. I hate Indycar/IRL or whatever with a passion, but they've done a good job with this.

I read elsewhere that JW did not earn anywhere near what we would have expected compared to his competitors. Justin spent the first ten years of his "paid" career from 2003 putting the vast majority of his racing income back into the investors' fund pot, Justin Wilson PLC. He took a very nominal salary from year one of the ten year plan, indexed each year to keep pace with inflation.

In 2012, at the end of the shareholder agreement, then freed from paying back the investors did he start to enjoy his salary.

Would I love to have the Servia helmet! Because of its special significance, I'm sure it will go for a fortune. At least I hope so, even though that would be more than I can manage. The die cast is up to $1125 as of this morning.

I'm sure this is correct. I didn't know it was a ten-year agreement but I knew they continued to subsidize him at the beginning of his career so he went even deeper into the hole. All the more reason to contribute for the children if possible.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to take a quick moment to say thank you for all the kind words and remembrances of Justin that have been posted here. Often when something like this occurs, there is an outpouring of comments and anecdotes, frequently with some embellishment or exaggeration of the person's character. Not this time; he was every bit as wonderful as he's been made out to be.

It still hurts tremendously, but is getting a little easier every day. The absolute last thing I wanted to do on Tuesday afternoon was get on an airplane and go to another race track, but ultimately that's what he would have wanted us to do. In the long run, I'm glad I got that time with my DCR family -- there were a lot of tears but also a heavy dose of smiles and laughter, remembering all the little kindnesses, the sneaky sharp wit, the beaming grin on his face when he spoke about Julia and the girls or how proud he was to be Stefan's big brother, and of course, some serious badassery with the visor down.

Thanks also for the kindness shown to me here ... I deeply appreciate the support, and God knows I've needed it this week.

Please continue to keep Justin and the Wilson family in your thoughts, and do whatever you can to support them. Every little bit helps.

Am I the only won who finds it a bit creepy that the bid for Sage Karam's helmet n the auction is nearly twice what the others are? :shakehead:

Isn't the creepy part that it would be part of the auction to begin with?
