Yes, yes, thank you, thank you. I bask in the light of perceived success. I'm still pizzed that WAS won though. :irked:
This week's picks are coming in from the Travel household. GManFan decided to go with every underdog. Making a statement in solidarity with the sea of red from most weeks. Why not go out with bang?! I, on the other hand, will do my usual ouija board dance an see what happens. :D

HAHA. Actually, we're playing because A) we're members and we're supposed to play and B) we couldn't care less who wins any of these games so having a stake in the winner makes them a bit more interesting. I KNOW I've clobbered GManFan. Heheheheheh.

We still haven't forgiven them here in Cleveland for having left.
Serious question, what existing franchise has moved the most. Is it the Rams (3 moves?)? cardinals (2 moves?)?
Good question, and I suppose the answer depends how far you want to go back. Cleveland Rams to Los Angeles, to St. Louis, back to LA.
Cardinals.....Chicago to St. Louis to Arizona.

After a brief internet search it looks to me the Rams are the winners, but because 2 of the moves are to the same city they share the distinction of having played in 3 cities with the Cardinals. I am a little surprised there is not another team that beat them simply because they moved a few times in the early years (for example the Bears, Lions and that team in DC that shall not be named) but all of those teams stuck with one city after the early years.
Edit - PS, I don't think the sources I was looking at included the AFL, which I think should be, but off the top of my head I think the Chargers and Chiefs had one move each.

By the way, if the "15" in this thread's title was a reference to 1915, 100 years ago my hometown pro-football team (but pre-NFL, although the team was offered an NFL franchise when the league formed) was considered the world champion, the Youngstown Patricians (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youngstown_Patricians)

I doubt it happens. Probably just leverage to get as much as possible for a new stadium in Oakland. The relocation fee is going to be $550M per team and I'm sure a good chunk of that will be going to the Raiders for "losing" LA roulette. I don't know why they'd move if they can get a new stadium there.

Dunno. This has come up before. No idea where they'd build a new stadium in NoCal. They should have teamed with the 9ers for Levi. Altho, they can't grow proper grass there. :saywhat: :shakehead: I've been by Oakland Alameda and it's craptastic.

In the first game, TravelGuy and I were rooting all the way for the Broncos so we were thrilled when they beat the cheaters, even though we'd picked the other way. In the second game, we picked "opposites" just for the entertainment value of rooting the whole game but Geeze Louise, that's what fast forward is for. Zipped through the entire second half except for a few notable interceptions, I mean exceptions. What a stinker.

When the Pats missed the PAT, I figured that would be #fail for the Pats. No idea what Roby #Buckeye was thinking when he tried to return the INT on the 2-point attempt. :saywhat:
I caught the Cards/Panthers long enough to enjoy CP being crapastic. Karma, bitch. :tony: :D Couldn't stomach the last 1/3 of the blood bath, so off to Blue Bloods I went. :)
I've got the Panthers by 7. They are just so balanced on both sides of the ball. Amazes me since they lost their #1 WR in pre-season, and are relying on Ginn as their main WR now. :saywhat:

Not going to change any opinions on the Pats, but just wanted to say  to Denver's defense. They soundly beat the Patriots offensive line. More so than anyone ever has in the Brady era. Miller said he only needed one second and that wasn't far off. They were all winning against their guys and it looked to me like they had the snap count figured out.
I was at first surprised the Patriots took the ball and then thought it was a good sign about how confident they were on offense. Outside of Gronk, not all that much to be confident about. He was a beast and was there for the 2-Pt conversion and Brady missed it. There is some irony that a rule Belichick wanted (he wanted it even further back) to change was important in this game. Gostkowski had 500+ XP in a row and then just shanks one.
This felt like a season where Belichick out thought himself (or is just getting old). He blew the #1 seed by kicking to start OT vs the Jets and then opened the Miami game with 18 straight runs. They just were doing things they don't do. But it is a luxury when the fans are picking apart a team that has gone to 5 straight AFC championships.
I think Carolina wins the SB and I assume WB is just saying "please don't be like the Seattle SB". ;)

Pats need to fix the OL and get a RB or two ala the Bungles, but one that can hold onto the ball. Not one named Jeremy Hill. :saywhat: :irked: IMO, post-Brady planning needs to start now. Cardale in the 3rd/4th round? They also need to get a deep threat to stretch the D. Losing 4 of the last 6 showed the cracks in the foundation. IMHO.

They definitely need a RB, they had no real run game the whole year. The OL, not so sure what they do with it. Maybe they need better depth, but they have a LT, RT who are above average (LT was on IR and RT was playing LT), two rookie Guards (one was injured) and a 2nd year Center. Coaching seems dubious as the problem because Belichick could've stepped in at any moment.
They are always planning for no Brady. Right now it's Garoppolo.
“I think organizationally, in our organization I don’t think we would put together a team the way Indianapolis did it when they lost Manning and they go 0-16, 1-15 or whatever it was,” Belichick told reporters Saturday night at Gillette Stadium after the draft was completed. “I don’t think that’s really what we’re looking for. Unfortunately when we lost Tom (Brady) in 2008 — we had a player that could step in and we won 11 games. We want to be competitive even if something happens to a player at any position.
“I think depth is always important. You never know when you’re going to need it. But I don’t think we’d be happy going 1-15 if we had an injury at one position. But other people have different philosophies. I’m just saying that the contrast to that example. I don’t think that’s really what we’re trying to do.”
You don't go 10-0 and then just have the wheels fall off without a little help.
