Cogent comment of the article, "He is a prisoner of his own success." I'm usually the cockeyed optimist but I always thought he would remain too cool for the room and thereby a failure in the NFL. I don't think he can even grasp the concept of rules applying to him.

Yeah, I caught that comment, too. IMHO, he grew up entitled...ala Todd Marinovich. :\

The 4th quarter didn't start until 11pm. I was half asleep by that point. And yet Monday's game was the highest rated MNF this year.

Love it. (The win, not Gronkowski's injury, which doesn't appear to be serious).
But I don't love the media slurping Osweiler. He had a TD and a pick. The running game was what worked. Brock game-managed. And that's fine - but stop acting like he was superman.

That punt muff turned the whole game. It went down hill from there. Credit to the Broncos on those 2 deep passes they had to hit on the sidelines. My list of grievances is long. I feel terrible for Gronk. He can't win on anything. He creates separation, legal or not OPI. He gets held or interfered with, it has to be egregious to be called because he's so strong. People are always hitting him low to get him down. He doesn't get any of the benefit of the doubt that superstars typically get. It was not NE's night, that's for sure. Might not be their season either.

Let's talk straight for a minute.
NE, without top two wideouts and best running back, lost a game in overtime on the road in the snow that, without one botched punt, would have been a win.
They'll be fine. Not a chance they lose more than two games all season; they'll have home field advantage, and Denver will have to choose between Sir Breaks-a-Lot and Kareem for the eventual hammering in Foxboro in the playoffs.

Just based on the fact that #prayforGronk was an FB trending topic this morning, I half expected him to be on his way to the glue factory.
And it's now true: even God hates the Buffalo Bills (http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/11/29/9815202/god-told-rex-ryan-not-to-challenge-a-call).

This seems to be the prevailing feeling of the Broncos fans that I know. Enjoying the win, but already dreading the playoffs. I'm kind of expecting them to stick with Osweiler while the Manning camp just leaks stuff and tries to self-destruct the team.
This must be some kind of elaborate scheme to set a trap for the Bengals next week. There's no other explanation for that much ineptitude.
The Browns organization should really just be nuked from space. It's the only way to be sure.

Pats went from #3 to #1. Panic temporarily subdued in Pats Nation. :) Injuries, not so much. Feels like more than other years, but I'm not sure.
The 4-and-9'ers are done for the year. Thank you.
The remaining three games will be work-outs for coaches and players shopping themselves to other teams to demonstrate their skills.
At the end of the season, the team will be dismantled and sold for scrap to China.
Despite the historic collapse this year, I think we all learned a lot and had some good times.
Good luck in all your future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Jed York

Manning has been prepared for this. All out media response already on deck. Has to protect his legacy.
Sounds like the source is back peddling as fast has his feet will take him. Unfortunately we'll probably never know whether that's from the threat of legal blow-back or because it was BS from the start. Anyway, it's not implausible that an NFL quarterback's wife would seek a little assistance in the anti-aging department.
Wacky Sunday...Pats, Panther, Stealers losing. Bears winning. All bets are off. Crazy as the weather.
And the mighty have fallen...let us hope we get another tomorrow night (sorry, WB) under the lights. :)
Well, well, well..
Looks like McCarron - Osweiler I on Monday night is huge. The Bengals can secure the #2 seed while the Broncos desperately need a win or risk having their division - or maybe even the playoffs - slip through their fingers.
Looks like WB is trying to put a double reverse voodoo wammy on them this week with a Bengals pick in the pool. :D

Yup. He way over thought it. I just can't believe he thought that was a good idea. You gave up the opportunity for a kick return and something happening on offense because you believed your defense was going to stop them and get you better field position. He basically just assumed a 3 and out from his offense would give the Jets better field position.

I only feel bad for the players that were in their, say, second or third NFL game because all the regulars were hurt. The best GManFan and I can hope for is that Coughlin will get the ax along with McCoy from San Diego. They have both lost control of their team, if they ever had it. :shakehead:

This is close to the worst they've ever played in this era heading into the playoff. 2-4 over the last 6. Everyone is just hoping they can just flip a switch with the return of injured players. I hope that's the case because I haven't seen the normal Patriots playbook in a while. Wildcat? Throwing Deep? Gadget Plays galore? The Patriots offense is methodical and executes. I think it's a bit more than that though. They've had a fair number of special teams mistakes over this time too. The good news is no one is perfect in the AFC. Pit lost to Bal. Den lost to Oak. Hou is AFC South. Cin has a backup QB. KC is on a 10 game winning streak after losing 4 in a row, the lone exception.
Ohh, and I have no clue how Gumby Brady isn't done for the season. You can see both his cleats sticking out under Suh and he was bent back over Suh from the impact.

Too bad McCoy didn't head out with him. "Greatest confidence in him," they said today. I guess no one would even take the Chargers job when they have no idea where they will be playing from here on out. Or, maybe (!) that vote of confidence is hollow, like so many are, until the Jan 11 owners meet to determine nothing.
