A user reported receiving a SPAM PM today. The SPAM was from a user who verified their email but had not been approved for the forum. Some spambots get by the human verification.

Looking at it, users awaiting approval had permission to send PMs enabled. I've disable PMs for this class of users. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I think that this was for people that subscribed, but had an issue with the process - so they could get help.

I think that's correct. People who need help can still use the the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.

Guess I'm not as interesting as the rest of youse guys. I checked my hyperhidden email address (only used for internet groups, you know, to guard against the loonies) and no PM's at all.
