In today's sad news, RIP Bill Paxton. Died from complications of heart surgery.
'Aliens' is probably my favorite movie ever - and the inspiration behind my username.
Fun trivia fact: Paxton was 1 of only 2 actors to be killed onscreen by an Alien, a Predator, and a Terminator (Lance Henricksen being the other).
RIP, Marine.
Game over, man. Game over.
Made this it's own thread.
So sad. Bill Paxton could make good films great and bad films enjoyable.
RIP
Wow. :( I just started watching Training Day. Loved his edge in that show. RIP.
When I heard the news, two TV mini-series came to mind, Texas Rising*and Hatfields & McCoys. Thoroughly enjoyed both.

Aliens, Twister, Apollo 13. :(
Discovered today that Bill Paxton created and appeared in the video for the Barnes and Barnes classic, "Fish Heads".

Such a loss.
Weird Science. Worst brother ever. F***in' Chet.
Also, his best line in Aliens was:
"We're on an express elevator to Hell. Going down!"

I skipped school to see this....

I'm just sick over this. I gasped when I saw the news yesterday morning and I can't seem to shake it off. It reminds me of the feeling I had when John Ritter died. It stuck with me for days. Too sad.

And Phil Hartman.
I still haven't watched last week's Training Day. I was gonna binge watch this Thursday...now I'm not so sure. :\ It's a really good show, and I was getting to 'know' the cast, but Paxton was the glue. :(

They said the whole season was already wrapped, if that matters. There would also be something at the beginning of the episode . http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/bill-paxton-training-day-tribute-1201997975/

I Figgered that was the case on both counts. I rarely watch broadcast TeeVee shows, but when I saw he was in Training Day, I put it on record....kinda like I do Blue Bloods. It's in a bad time spot oppo Blacklist and starting mid-season as well. :\
Weird Science has always been my favorite Hughes flick and his portrayal of Chet was a big part of that.
I usually don't get down when I see news of a celebrity passing but this one seriously took the wind off my sails Sunday AM.
I didn't know he directed 'The Greatest Game Ever Played'. That movie was alright.

And Phil Hartman.Agreed. Phil Hartman's situation was super sad as well.
John Ritter also, but perhaps his falls a little more into the 'things happen' category. But indeed that was sad also.

Alright?!? That flick was flipping great, but I'm also a golf nerd having growed up in Jack's backyard. :)
OK, so I binged the last two episodes of Training Day. Damnit. Just damnit. :(
