Oh NO. And the grandfather, too. I always liked Nelson. 19 in the 19 car. Sort of twit at the beginning but matured as we went along and then, at the last Champ Car Inner Circle dinner, gave the most moving speech about all Champ Car meant to all of us. :cry::cry:

That's really sad news. I never met Richard but Nelson was a good bloke and fun to talk to on the Gold Coast. Saw him get his first win too.

Richard was Formula BMW champ and ran pretty competitively in Indy Lights and Formula Atlantic.
