For me the green flag flies at 0100 EDT. I may pop in to say hi if the west-coasters are going to be up late.

Otherwise maybe we shoot for US/Mexico?Brazil (all in the Western Hemisphere so more favorable timezones).

Yes folks, the race is (for the Americas) late Saturday night, 1 am eastern, 10 pm pacific.

Quals are friday night, at midnight my time, 2 am eastern, 11 pm pacific. I may open the chat room for the real west coasters for quals.

I plan to pop in chat for the opening laps- 1:00-1:30am EST. There may be pajamas and hot chocolate.

Since you guys are going to be there, I'll stop by at 1am for green flag and the first few laps.

We'll have to see how the rain goes as far as race start, but I'll be there at 1am regardless.
