Catching Red Bull will ‘take time’ as they ‘continuously bring upgrades’ – Hamilton (https://www.racefans.net/2023/07/21/catching-red-bull-will-take-time-as-they-continuously-bring-upgrades-hamilton/)

Alonso: New Pirelli F1 tyres have hurt Aston Martin and Red Bull

Interesting. Sort of surprising that tire specs can change mid-season with so little testing allowed.

If you can believe this, the 20 cars on the F1 grid were closer together in Q1 this weekend (1.105s) than the top 20 cars on the F2 grid (1.357s) and the top 20 cars on the F3 grid (1.633s)

That's a cool chart above!
Bad start for Zhou. Looks like Red ull is going to get their 12th in a row (he says tryin to jinx them)
It appears the McLaren are for real. Good. Not their biggest fan but definitely a fan of more competition. Williams on the other had seemed to regress along with Ferrari and Aston Martin.

Agreed. Don't tell Devilmaster though - he'll insist that McLaren are still posers.
Also, Zhou's bad start ruined the race for both Alfas - too bad because they were strong all weekend.

Danica. Prerace talking to a little girl race fan. I.just.can't. I'm not even going to dignify her by posting the WTF1 twitter link. To be honest, when I saw them with a microphone in her face, I turned off the whole thing. :tony:

2 races does not a comback make. And i'm too old and rickety to jump for joy over it. Show this form for the rest of the season and I'll be impressed.
Remember, the car was sooo bad for the first half (how bad was it?) that they had a hard time getting out of Q1.
As easily as they have improved, so could one or two of the other teams and push McLaren back down to middle of the order.
This explains it well, despite having the same amount of podiums, Ferrari has double the points

Didn't he just get through bitching about Red Bull no longer working on this year's car because they're already working on next year's, and there should be a rule to stop them? Tool.
