I was telling someone the old adage "don't spend the principal" the other day and that reminded me of those halcyon days when DSTP racing and Lynx racing were bringing a steady stream of genuine American talent into open wheel racing. Sadly, my nostalgic web searches turned up the fact that both Dede Rogers of DSTP racing and Jackie Doty of Lynx racing have passed away in the last few years.
Thank you ladies, for all the great racing that you contributed to and for the hope for a future of Champ car racing that would never come to pass. A lot of those guys found success in what passes as racing in the aftermath, but I'd rather be watching Formula Atlantic from the good old days.
