I really don’t know much about 8K, how much bandwidth it will consume and if the quality is noticeable on existing TVs.

We've done some testing at work for some manufacturers of 8K screens... one of my colleagues took a photo of our office area and then placed a 85" 8K screen so it fits in with the view and when you stood in front of it so it all lined up with the background you couldn't see where the screen was or where the real world was... your only hint was the thin bezel around the screen.

So yes, there is a noticeable difference to your 4K screen... but the increase in bandwidth will be massive!

For me I think the biggest advantage is that you can sit closer to the screen since the pixels are smaller.

So for an 80" 8k TV you could probably sit as close to 4 feet from the screen and be ok, which is awesome.
